Paradise Builders exceeded my expectations! Five stars and a BIG thumbs up. From day one, I was impressed with Larry Robinson, the owner, and his crew. As a retired Project Manager in the construction industry, I can tell the reader that it’s always better to have one contractor for the whole job rather than several smaller ones.
In my case, we started out with a plan and knew what we wanted. For my wrap around front and back yard landscape project in Sun City, this could have been 8 or 9 smaller vendors-contractors. I started with a plan approved by the HOA, but access to the backyard work and complexity dictated the sequence of construction and added weeks to the work.
After several months of shopping around, I found it near impossible to find one company that would quote the whole job at a reasonable price without excluding something. That is until we found Paradise Builders. Larry gave us a good price at a schedule that fit our timeline and met the requirements of the HOA.
I would highly recommend Paradise Builders if you are considering any type of patio cover, hardscape and/or softscape. Paradise Builders is a professional family owned business, licensed, and bonded. They did the work as promised and kept to the schedule. Larry and his crew arrived on time every day, even working on the weekends. Larry was gracious to answer any questions and often offered helpful advice. At the end of the day, Larry’s crew cleaned up any mess before they went home!
We are so happy with our new front and back yard thanks to Paradise Builders. Larry and his crew did it all. We went from a classic crushed rock and concrete only landscape, to a gorgeous exterior complete with a covered outside living area/patio that flows into a beautiful landscape work of art.
After removing 16 dumpsters of rock, dirt, concrete, and construction debris, our new landscape work included: installation of one flat solid, one gable solid, and one latticed Alumawood patio cover; 2200 SF of Belgard pavers for the backyard patio, side walkway to the front, driveway, and front entry; 250 SF of El Dorado Mesquite stacked stone around 3 patio cover columns, square façades around 4 round columns and 1 BBQ island; 45 LF of free-standing Ashlar Tandem Belgard seat walls to accommodate crowd seating; gas lines to a custom firepit and built-in BBQ kitchen island; two 40 LF x 5’ high slump stone CMU walls; multiple trees and 80+ plants; intricate drip irrigation; artificial grass; a river rock dry creek formation; accent landscape lighting; raised planters; and a dog run.
As happy as I am with a job well done, my main reason for writing this review is for someone out there who’s searching for a dependable and trustworthy landscape builder they can trust. I found Larry Robinson to be forthright and honest, as well as very meticulous about the quality of work he puts forth.
Trust me! If you are on the verge of a landscape project, go with Larry Robinson Paradise Builders. In the end, you’ll be glad you did. You can always find that “cheaper guy” to do a job, but I’ve learned the hard way: you get what you pay for…
